Taxes + Spring Training = Oro Brewing

This blog calls the foothills of Carefree home. But for some insane reason, its accountant is in downtown Mesa. So, when tax season rolls around, I use Uncle Sam as an excuse to visit my favorite downtown Mesa brewery, Oro Brewing Company. Because beer is involved, I’m OK with that arrangement.

On my most recent visit, I was pleased to see the City of Mesa had finally finished their sidewalk construction and Oro was sporting a new patio.

Not only that, their storefront received new signage, with a new logo.

Forwards and backwards, it spells “beer”

Of course, driving all that way to Mesa makes this blog very thirsty. So, a quick sample of the wares was required. To celebrate the start of Spring Training, I tried the Inside the Park Blonde—bright, toasty flavors. It paired well with the Italian Grinder from Worth Takeaway Sandwich Shop next door. (A must stop every time you are in Mesa!)

To wash that all down, I finished with Fiddler’s Elbow, a perfectly mild British Mild.

It’s a good thing for Oro that my taxes require a lot of attention.

Prost!
